Drain tracing is the process of finding and following the path of a specific drain or sewer pipe. We insert a small transmitter, called a sonde, into the pipe. As it travels along, we use a receiver above ground to pick up its signal. This allows us to accurately trace the pipe's route, even if it runs deep underground or under buildings.

Drain mapping takes tracing a step further. While tracing finds the path, mapping records it. We trace all the different lines within your system—foul water, surface water, and so on—and create a comprehensive, scaled drawing of the entire underground network. This map will show where the pipes run, their depths, and where they connect to inspection chambers or the main public sewer.
